Ways to Care for Yourself

Grief is heavy. Please be gentle with yourself.

  • Allow yourself to rest, cry, and remember

  • Avoid comparison—your grief is valid no matter the stage of loss

  • Create a memorial ritual (light a candle, write a letter, plant a flower)

  • Ask for help. Let others bring meals or check in

  • Keep a grief journal—writing helps release what your heart is holding

Supporting a Loved One

If you’re here because someone you love has lost a baby—thank you for showing up.
Here are a few gentle ways to support them:

  • Say their baby’s name

  • Listen more than you speak

  • Don’t try to fix it—just be present

  • Remember anniversaries and due dates

  • Send a card or small gift to remind them they’re not forgotten

Crisis or Emergency Support

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, please reach out for help.

  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (Call or text 988)

  • Postpartum Support International: https://www.postpartum.net

  • Text HELLO to 741741 for free 24/7 crisis counseling via text
